Mariner Measures Up
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
This was our first cruise on Royal. We've never cruised on RCL before but we got an excellent deal and the timing was right. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and thought it was a good value for what we paid. If you haven't read my stuff, I like to separate my reviews into 'the good' 'the bad' and 'the ugly,' so here goes: 'The good' – The food and main dining service were by far the best part of

Not a good Cruise 2 thumbs down!
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
Birthday and Anniversary Cruise planned for the wife and I. It's been several years since our last cruise. The overall experience really was disappointing even though the food and waiter staff experience was good. Several bad experience which included inconsistency with the organization boarding process. -unclear documentation requirements for Antigen testing documentation and rude

NO MORE bidding up for us !
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
I give high score for the cleanliness onboard, food was delicious in the dining room, especially considering it was a 4 night cruise. Wait staff and the rest of the crew were fabulous, my only issue was with the bidding up option. We did bid up from our oceanview balcony for a suite, and the Friday before sailing they "Congratulated us" for winning the bid to a cabin 203 square feet with a smaller

So Happy to be Back!
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
We wanted to try a short cruise for our first cruise post covid. The Mariner of the Seas was perfect in every way. I was crying tears of joy boarding this beautiful ship! I have cruised 50+ cruises on the biggest newest ships, but this cruise was so very special because it was so wonderful to be able to cruise again after the pandemic. The crew and staff were welcoming and very eager to serve. The

Port Canaveral Boarding Process
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
We arrived at the Port Canaveral RCCL Cruise Terminal on Friday, October 1 at around 12:30PM to board the Mariner of the Seas For some reason, the terminal has removed any lines/process for Suite guests, which has always been available in the past and appeared easy to accomodate even during COVIT. It took one hour from the time we arrived until we boarded the ship. There was a long queue line

Yeah, I went to the Bahamas, for the weekend...
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
I went to the Bahamas, for a weekend cruise, on Mariner and I just got home on Monday. I can't tell you much about the ship because I only saw my cabin, the "Pub" on the Promenade, the Diamond Lounge and the main dining room (MDR). Seriously, I never went to any of the outside "things to do" on the ship. I can tell you there is a Starbucks on deck 4 and it wasn't covered by my drink package. The

Coco Cay was Perfect Day
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
My late husband of over 35 years and I had over 30 cruises on RCI. I was longing for a cruise experience but didn't know if I could survive a 7 night cruise as a solo. I selected Mariner of the Seas 4 night out of Port Canaveral for two reasons; it sailed just over two hours away from my home and it went to Coco Cay! Overall, the experience was a little sad. Protocols prevented opportunities to

Great to be sailing again.
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
The employees in the terminal seemed to still be in a learning curve. It went pretty slow so if you have the RCCL app use it. Also highlight the date, your name, type of test and result ("Negative") on your printed test so they can find it quickly. The ship was only 33% full so no waiting for elevators, tables, bar service or lounge chairs. Most elevators were empty and no long wait. The

First cruise on Royal, and won't be the last!
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
This cruise was booked as a surprise for my husband's birthday, and every single part of it lived up to its expectations. Embarkation- The new process was managed incredibly well. The vaccination cards and negative test were verified at multiple steps to ensure everyone was in compliance. This was important to us, and a reason we were happy to sail. We were through the terminal and onboard

They're VERY GLAD to see you!!
Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas
Needed a quick get-away out of Port Canaveral so we chose this cruise. Passenger count still low - we were told about 1100 passengers (out of a max 3300) with a crew of1000. You can't walk a corridor or turn a corner without a genuine greeting by ANY staff member we saw!! Since this was booked during DeSantis'" you can't deny unvaccinated passengers" period, we did have a few but I never
